VISIT RULES
SPECIAL NATIONAL RELIC: DA DONG DA MOND

Article 1: These rules apply to the Management Board of Dong Da Cultural Park, organizations, and individuals who come to visit, celebrate, study, and research at the special national relic Dong Da Mound.

Article 2: Special National Relic: Dong Da Mound is under the state management of Dong Da District People’s Committee and Dong Da Cultural Park Management Board. Management, conservation, and promotion of relic values ​​are carried out according to the Cultural Heritage Law; Decision No. 31/2021/QD-UBND dated December 29, 2021, of Hanoi People’s Committee on amending and supplementing a number of articles of management and protection regulations and promote the value of historical – cultural relics and scenic spots in Hanoi city, issued together with Decision No. 48/2016/QD-UBND dated November 17, 2016, of Hanoi People’s Committee promulgating Regulations on management, protection and promotion of the value of historical – cultural relics and scenic spots in Hanoi city; Decision No. 1665/QD-UBND dated March 10, 2017 of the Hanoi People’s Committee on promulgating the Code of Conduct in public places in Hanoi city; Regulations on organization and operation of Dong Da Cultural Park Management Board and related legal documents. 

Article 3: Tourists and people coming to visit and perform rituals at the relic site must comply with the following regulations:

1. Comply with the visit rules; Join the tour according to the instructions of the relic Management Board and sign during the tour.

2. At the altars of the relic, the relic management board lit incense rings for tourists and people to offer offerings. Do not arbitrarily burn incense or candles at the altars in the Temple, only burn incense at the incense burner in front of the relic and the Incense Burner in front of the Temple of Emperor Quang Trung – Nguyen Hue.
3. Dress politely, seriously, and appropriately, preserve spiritual cultural beauty, and practice a civilized lifestyle in places of worship. Keep quiet in solemn places. Do not have uncultured behaviors such as swearing or using offensive language.
4. Raise awareness of protecting relics. Maintain hygiene and protect the environmental landscape (do not throw trash indiscriminately, do not display street vendors, and protect and preserve the system of trees and grass in the area). It is forbidden to dig or dump waste and scrap at the relic site.
5. It is strictly forbidden to take advantage of religious freedom of belief activities to carry out superstitious acts such as spreading publications that are not allowed to be circulated, or gambling for money in any form at the relic site. It is forbidden to organize spontaneous services.
6. Cars and motorbikes must be parked in designated areas. Maintain security and order, and comply with regulations on fire prevention. Do not smoke within the relic grounds. Do not bring weapons, sharp objects, toxic substances, explosives, flammable substances, or live animals into the relic area.
7. Do not steal, swap, or exchange artifacts and relics at the relic; do not lie down, sit, or touch objects; do not write or draw on artifacts, worship objects, architectural works, or tree trunks; do not step on grass, arbitrarily cut down trees, cut down branches, pick flowers, and other illegal acts that negatively affect the relic.
8. Do not use flying devices at the relic without permission from the authority; Agencies and individuals wishing to film must have a letter of introduction and be approved by the leaders of the Relic Management Board.
9. The relic security staff have the right to terminate the tour for visitors who violate the rules. If visitors detect negative phenomena, they are requested to promptly inform the relic security department at the following phone numbers: 024.35371603 or 024.35334607.

Article 4. The Management Board of Dong Da Cultural Park and  the relic security team are responsible for inspecting and guiding tourists and people to strictly comply with the rules and regulations, contributing to good management and preservation. preserve and promote the value of national historical relics, especially Dong Da Mound.  Those who deliberately violate the rules will be dealt with according to regulations.

ATTRACTIVE TOURIST DESTINATIONS AND HERITAGE EDUCATION PROGRAMS

Having gone through many historical ups and downs, the National Special Relic Site of Dong Da Mound today is a relic complex containing great historical and cultural value, especially the victory event of Ngoc Hoi – Dong Da led by Emperor Quang Trung; It is an attractive tourist destination for domestic and foreign tourists with outstanding architectural works in green spaces.

The heritage education program at the Historical site helps students proactively learn historical and heritage knowledge in the direction of “learning through play” and students have the opportunity to participate in meaningful experiential activities during the tour.

To promote the tradition of “Uống nước nhớ nguồn” (When you eat a fruit, think of the man who planted the tree), promoting the local cultural and historical values. The National Special Relic Site of Dong Da Mound continuously connects with schools in Hanoi city as well as schools in provinces and cities nationwide to organize sightseeing, learning and experience activities at the Historical site.

Activities at the Historical site:

1. Incense-offering ceremony

– Offer incense in front of Emperor Quang Trung Monument and in the Temple of Emperor Quang Trung – Nguyen Hue

– Admission ceremony for the Youth Union and HYPO member in front of Quang Trung Monument and the Square yard

2. Visit and listen to explanations about the National Special Relic Site of Dong Da Mound.
3. Visit Quang Trung Exhibition House and Ngoc Hoi Dong Da victory

– Visit and explore the artifacts in the exhibition house

• Listen to explanations and introductions about the life and contributions of Emperor Quang Trung – Nguyen Hue, the Ngoc Hoi – Dong Da victory and the Dong Da Mound Festival
• Experience technological equipment with precious documentary film about history

4. Heritage education program and experiential activities at the Historical site

4.1. Intellectual games associated with historical events of the Tay Son insurgent army and Emperor Quang Trung – Nguyen Hue aim to help synthesize knowledge after the visit and study session; create excitement, encouragement, and timely rewards to motivate students
