Dong Da District Labor Confederation welcomes the high-level delegation of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Seoul city (Korea)

On the morning of May 8, at the National Special Relic Site of Dong Da Mound, the Dong Da District Labor Confederation welcomed high-level delegation of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Seoul city (Korea) within the framework of the delegation’s program to visit and work with the Hanoi City Labor Federation.

On behalf of the Hanoi City Labor Federation, comrade Le Dinh Hung – Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Permanent Vice President of the City Labor Federation, Heads, Deputy Heads, Specialists of the City Labor Federation’s Departments, President of the Trade Union of the Hanoi Transport Corporation attended the program.

On the Korean delegation, Mr. Kim Hea Gwang – Permanent Vice President of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Seoul city; Mr. Kim Dong Sool – President of the Trade Union of Shinhwa Passenger Transport Industry; President of the Trade Union of the Chung Jea Soo Bus and other members attended the program.

Welcoming the delegation, on the side of Dong Da District, there was Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung – Member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the District People’s Committee. Comrade Le Thi Kim Hue – Member of the Standing Committee of the City Labor Federation, Member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, President of the Dong Da District Labor Confederation. Members of the Standing Committee  and officials, agencies of the District Labor Confederation.

Vietnam and Korea have become important partners. Seoul city (Korea) and Hanoi city (Vietnam) have officially established relations and have maintained regular cooperation and exchange mechanisms for 32 years. On that basis, the Hanoi City Labor Federation and the Confederation of Trade Unions of Seoul city have established a cooperative relationship since 2008. Over the past 16 years, both sides have organized delegation exchanges to strengthen cooperative relations, exchange and share experiences in trade union activities, and signed memorandums of understanding to promote the development of both sides. Most recently, the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation for the period 2022-2027. At the same time, in 2023, the delegation of key officials of the Hanoi City Labor Federation had a visit to study and exchange experiences with the Confederation of Trade Unions of Seoul city in Korea.

During the program, the Delegation visited and took souvenir photos at the Relic. At the meeting, President of the District District Labor Confederation – Ms. Le Thi Kim Hue respectfully expressed her joy at welcoming the high-level delegation of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Seoul city  to visit, work and quickly inform about the characteristics of the situation in Dong Da District and the results of the District Labor Union’s activities, at the same time, the two sides also exchanged information and shared activities. The meeting took place solemnly, practically and meaningfully.
